Author/Poet Doreen Lettsome Reid and her family moved from Bronx, New York to Charleston, SC when she was five years old and resided in the town of Mt. Pleasant. At the age of sixteen Doreen Lettsome Reid left home and moved to Cheraw, South Carolina. After enduring great trials and tribulations, Doreen Lettsome Reid was blessed to meet her husband in November 1996. He was the first person to every share the “true” gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with her. In the summer of 1997 she gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ and received the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues that same year. In February 1998 Gregory Lee Reid and Doreen Lettsome Reid were married and now have 4 children.

Doreen has been gifted and anointed by God to write poetry and combine it with the Word of God. This gifting and anointing was evident since Doreen was a small child, even before she was able to write poetry she recited poetry from her heart. God has allowed Doreen to use her gift to overcome abuse, homelessness, and other tragic circumstances.
